Classic Homemade waffles

This is a classic homemade waffle batter for the perfect waffle everytime.

  • Waffle machine


  • 250 g Plain flour
  • 4 tsp Baking powder
  • 30 g Caster sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 350 ml Milk
  • 70 g Butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla bean paste


  • Separate the eggs whites from the yolk.
  • Place all the ingredients in a bowl apart from the egg whites. Mix together with a whisk until a thick batter is formed.
  • In the separate bowl, whisk together the egg whites until the form stiff peaks.
  • Fold the egg white through the batter.
  • Ladle the batter into the waffle machine and cook according to the manufacturer guidance.
  • Serve with your favourite toppings.
