Strawberries & Baileys Trifle

A delicious trifle with Madeira cake, strawberry jam, fresh strawberries and a Baileys whipped cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 ml Double cream
  • 60 ml Baileys
  • 200 g Madeira cake
  • 300 g Strawberries
  • 20 g Caster sugar

Instructions
 

  • Start by making the jam by adding 120g of strawberries (quartered) with the caster sugar and 2 tbsp of water in a pan and cook on a low heat for 20-30 minutes, stiring occasionally. Remove from the heat, let the mixture cool fully and thicken.
  • In a bowl whisk together the Baileys and double cream until it forms soft peaks.
  • Slice the Madeira cake into cubes.
  • Fill the glasses up with layers of baileys whipped cream, maderia cake, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries which have been quartered.
  • Chill for 30 minutes in the fridge before serving.
