Strawberries & Baileys Trifle
A delicious trifle with Madeira cake, strawberry jam, fresh strawberries and a Baileys whipped cream.
Ingredients
- 300 ml Double cream
- 60 ml Baileys
- 200 g Madeira cake
- 300 g Strawberries
- 20 g Caster sugar
Instructions
- Start by making the jam by adding 120g of strawberries (quartered) with the caster sugar and 2 tbsp of water in a pan and cook on a low heat for 20-30 minutes, stiring occasionally. Remove from the heat, let the mixture cool fully and thicken.
- In a bowl whisk together the Baileys and double cream until it forms soft peaks.
- Slice the Madeira cake into cubes.
- Fill the glasses up with layers of baileys whipped cream, maderia cake, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries which have been quartered.
- Chill for 30 minutes in the fridge before serving.
