A dessert drenched in salted caramel sauce is always a positive. I’m a massive fan of a classic Eton Mess but this salted caramel and pecan version takes the Eton Mess to a new level.
EVERYTHING YOU’LL NEED FOR THE ETON MESS
- Meringue drops
- Vanilla extract
- Double cream
- Salted caramel sauce
The first step of this recipe is to make the meringue drops. If you don’t have time to make meringue, you can always buy meringue nests from the shops and break them into small pieces.
The seconds step of the recipe is to make the salted caramel sauce. My recipe is so simple to make and tastes incredible, however, if you are short of time you can always use a shop bought version.
Salted Caramel & Pecan Eton Mess
- 100 g Meringue drops
- 200 g Salted caramel
- 2 Bananas
- 300 ml Double cream
- 70 g Pecans
- Whip the double cream until it forms soft peaks.
- Slice the banana into small pieces.
- If using shop brought meringue nests, you need to break them in to small pieces.
- Assemble in a glass by placing a little bit of all the ingredients followed by pouring over some salted caramel sauce. Repeat this process until the glass is full.
